The aim of the project is to provide services to support SMEs participation in RTD research projects under the Transport Work-Programme, mainly:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>connecting Clusters of Transport sector in different European countries<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>training on EU funding mechanisms<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>facilitating networking opportunities and partnerships creation among all stakeholders of the transport sector (using the metacluster approach)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>addressing SMEs research capabilities\/needs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>facilitating the creation of consortium with large organizations in projects led by SME<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>supporting SMEs in submitting proposals for own project ideas<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>creating a nurturing environment for transnational research projects<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Regional Cluster, Large organizations, SMEs, Public and Private research centers are some of the members involved in the SMART Community benefitting of its network and services.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The SMART website is one of the main project\u2019s instruments, allowing registered organizations to access useful information, tools and smoothing consortia building procedures.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The main website sections address different needs of those who want to participate in Surface Transport research, offering useful tools to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support proposal building,<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Find high quality potential partners,<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Gain visibility at international level,<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Access information on funding opportunities and mechanisms,<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Receive free consultancy about project ideas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.smartransport.eu\/\">www.smartransport.eu<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SMART is a Support Action co-funded by the FP7 of the European Commission.
